Sourcery Academy for Developers in The Poland is a hands-on accelerated course on software development designed by employees of Devbridge, and facilitated locally in The Poland.
The objective of the course is to enable technology students and career switchers in The Poland to improve their skills and prepare for a career in the global technology industry. All participants who successfully complete the course will be referred for opportunities as Junior Software Engineers at Devbridge.
What to expect from Sourcery Academy
The participants learn the latest technologies and how to create software using the best tools on the market. Students have to attend three-hour long weekly remote real-time lectures (once per week) where experts of Devbridge are teaching them of React, ASP.NET, EF Core master cutting-edge web technologies for three months during the Spring semester. Furthermore, Devbridge assigns a mentor to each student to serve as a resource for their custom development projects. This Spring we will continue hybrid course concept: remote real-time lectures & live/remote meetings with a team and assigned mentor.
For the Spring semester, Sourcery Academy begin in the beginning of March and end in Mid May. This semester is dedicated for those who want to learn .NET technology basics. Academy's students need to dedicate at least 10-15 hours per week in order to graduate the Academy successfully. At the end of term all students receive recognition for completing the course. Top graduates will receive job offers from Devbridge.
At the end of term all students will receive a certificate of completion the Sourcery Academy for Developers. The participants are observed throughout the course by assigned mentors who represent 70% of the overall score that reflects student's progress. An assessment of the final exam consists 30% of the final grade. Only the TOP highest performing graduates are invited for an interview to become junior Software Engineers at Devbridge.
We will notify all successful applicants of acceptance into the Academy by the 4th March. Notifications will be shared via the email address provided during the registration process.
We run a hybrid concept course: weekly remote real-time lectures and live meetings with an assigned mentor from Devbridge in the office.
If you want to graduate the academy successfully, you will have to dedicate 10-15 hours per week:

Other time should be dedicated for your personal development in order develop a real IT project in a team as well as to build your competence through trainings and individual or groups assignments.
This free-to-attend course is for everyone who is willing to learn the latest web technologies. We do not require any advanced development skills from you before the academy. However, you need to have at least basics of OOP in order to pass the admission. We are looking for smart, motivated people who are thinking outside the box and willing to learn the latest web technologies in order to kick start their career in IT as Junior software engineers.
Yes, a personal laptop is required.
The Academy provides ten weekly lectures (once or twice per week) in total. Three hours long lectures usually starts at 3 pm each Wednesday. This three-month course is available this Spring (from March to Mid May).
Yes, it is possible to receive recorded lectures. Due to that we'll ask you to sign an agreement regarding GDPR.
