Sourcery Academy for Developers is a free-to-attend three-month cutting-edge technology course, available in the Spring and Fall of each year. Best performing candidates are invited to the Devbridge in Vilnius, Kaunas and Klaipeda offices to attend lectures and create custom projects with the help of software development professionals (this year the Academy will be held virtually and streamed online). Academy's members will learn the latest technologies and how to create software using the best tools on the market. Furthermore, Devbridge assigns a mentor to each student to serve as a resource for their custom development projects. Top graduates may receive job offers from Devbridge.
Master cutting-edge web technologies with Sourcery for Developers
The participants learn the latest technologies and how to create software using the best tools on the market. Students have to attend three-hour long weekly lectures (once per week) where experts of Devbridge are teaching them of React, JPA and Spring Boot master cutting-edge web technologies for three months during the Fall semester. Furthermore, Devbridge assigns a mentor to each student to serve as a resource for their custom development projects.
For the Fall semester, Sourcery Academy begin in the beginning of October and end in Mid December. This is JAVA technology based semester. Academy's students need to dedicate at least 10-15 hours per week in order to graduate the academy successfully. At the end of term all students receive recognition for completing the course. Top graduates may receive job offers from Devbridge.
At the end of term all students will receive a certificate of completion the Sourcery academy for Developers. The participants are observed throughout the course by assigned mentors who represent 70% of the overall score that reflects student's progress. An assessment of the final exam consists 30% of the final grade. Only the TOP highest performing graduates are invited for an interview to become junior Software Engineers at Devbridge.

Weekly lectures and meetings with mentor will be held virtually and streamed online until summer 2021.
If you want to graduate the academy successfully, you will have to dedicate 10-15 hours per week. Approximately three hours should be dedicated for each lecture. Other time should be dedicated for your personal development in order implement IT project in a team as well as to build your competence through trainings and individual or groups assignments.
This free-to-attend course is for everyone who is willing to learn the latest web technologies. We do not require any advanced development skills from you before the academy. However, you need to have at least basics of OOP in order to pass the admission. We are looking for smart, motivated people who are thinking outside the box and willing to learn the latest web technologies in order to kick start their career in IT as Junior software engineers.
Yes, a personal laptop is required. However, in case you do not have it, the company offers the possibility to use the laptop during lectures at Devbridge Kaunas or Vilnius office (the city depends on the location where you took the entrance test).
The Academy provides ten weekly lectures (once or twice per week) in total. Three hours long lectures usually starts at 4 pm each Wednesday in Vilnius and Thursday in Kaunas (depends on your location). This three-month course ir available in the Fall and Spring of each year (from October to Mid January and from March to Mid May).
No, it is not possible to receive recorded lectures or attend them in both cities all the time. We are measuring students' progress regaring their activeness as well. However, it is possible to attend a few lectures in another city if it is a temporary need.
