Sourcery Academy for Full-Stack is a free-to-attend three-month cutting-edge technology course, available in the Spring and Fall of each year. Best performing candidates are invited to attend e-learning course and create custom projects with the help of software development professionals (offline lectures & live/virtual team meetings in offices). Academy's participants will learn the latest technologies and how to create software using the best tools on the market. Furthermore, Devbridge (a Cognizant company) assigns a mentor to each student to serve as a resource for their custom development projects. Top graduates may receive job offers from Devbridge (a Cognizant company).

Candidates have to apply by the deadline of the application submission in order to receive more details about the entry test. Informational letter is sent one month before the entry test which is performed for all candidates that want to enroll into the Academy. It is designed to check candidate's logics, JAVA, JavaScript, OOP, SQL basics, software analysis and design skills. Test results define a priority list of candidates. We accept 36 - 40 candidates with the highest marks into academy.

The participants learn the latest technologies and how to create software using the best tools on the market. Students have to attend two-month long e-learning course that is prepared and designed by the experts of Devbridge (a Cognizant company). The company assigns a mentor to each student to serve as a resource for their custom development projects. Furthermore, mentors are teaching them of React and Spring Boot master cutting-edge web technologies.

For the Spring semester, Sourcery Academy begins at the beginning of March and ends in the end of May. This is JAVA technology based semester. Academy's students need to dedicate ±20 hours per week in order to graduate the Academy successfully. At the end of term all students receive recognition for completing the course. Top graduates may receive job offers from Devbridge (a Cognizant company).

At the end of term all students will receive a certificate of completion the Sourcery Academy for Full-Stack. The participants are observed throughout the course by assigned mentors. In the end of the Academy everyone has to pass the final exam. Only the TOP highest performing graduates are invited for an interview to become junior Software Engineers at Devbridge (a Cognizant company).

Frequently asked questions

The Academy offers blended learning that includes both online and in-person learning experiences. Students will get offline content for independent learning mixed with direct guidance by an assigned mentor who will help students to gain project development skills. Face-to-face team meetings might be arranged in the office depending on the circumstances.

If you want to graduate the academy successfully, you will have to dedicate ±20 hours per week. Approximately three hours should be dedicated for an offline weekly lectures. Other time should be dedicated for your personal development in order implement IT project in a team as well as to build your competence through trainings and individual or groups assignments.

Do your best to prepare for the Entry Tests which is designed to check your logics, C# or JAVA (depends on the semester), JavaScript, OOP, SQL basics, software analysis and design skills. You need to show up on exact date, time and location where the test will be held. This information will be send after you apply to the Academy. During the test you need to have a pen only, no other materials or electronic devices allowed to use. Exam duration - 2 hours. There won't be any negative grades for wrong answers. The best-performing students will receive direct invitations to the academy. We accept 36 - 40 candidates with highest marks into academy.

This free-to-attend course is for everyone who is willing to learn the latest web technologies. We do not require any advanced development skills from you before the academy. However, you need to have at least basics of OOP in order to pass the admission. We are looking for smart, motivated people who are thinking outside the box and willing to learn the latest web technologies in order to kick start their career in IT as Junior software engineers.

Yes, a personal laptop is required because you'll have to watch offline lectures, learn independently and develop a custom IT project in a team.

The Academy provides offline content based on ten different topics. Each topic requires three hours of learning per week. This e-learning course takes three months in total, available in the Fall and Spring of each year (from the end of September to Mid December, and from March to end of May).
